Description

A retooled version of an older deviation.

What started off as an obscure Simpsons reference has become a tribute to 70's blaxploitation horror movies.

This is hilariously epic! I actually just looked up "Blacula" on Frinkiac.com and found this joke. I didn't remember it but I remembered the episode and had to look up the joke and was glad to find someone mad a poster for it. I've always been a big fan of monsters (especially when they're in groups). But enough about that.

I really like how you made the background simple as it's hard to believe that the company making this movie would have the money to make a good Blotre Blame set. Most of the movie is probably just inside a few rooms of the cathedral. I also appreciate the blood as it gives the monster feel over what the story of the Hunchback is actually about (just like how the posters of the day were very misinformed). I do think the brush in his hair is a bit much though (as the black monster movies were never did anything that blatant. Also, the tagline seems to imply a plotline similar to the Disney movie, which wouldn't make sense since this movie would be made in the 70's.

One piece of trivia, though, is that Blacula and Blackenstein were made by different people. The director of Blacula would go on to make Dr. Black, Mr. Hyde for a different company. I'd like to believe all the creators joined together to make this movie.

All in all, though, I love this. I'm just so glad that someone took their time to bring one of the most hilarious and strange Simpsons moments to life. Also I decided to give 5 stars for originality not because this is truly an original idea but because it's so original for someone to make a drawing for an obscure Simpsons joke.
